His armor is covered in the signs of rank and inheritance. A heavy blue cloak hangs from his shoulders and trails behind the armored frame like a royal banner, its fabric embroidered with scripture, regimental honors, and family symbols. Long ceremonial cloths fall from his waist and back, and every iron plate is etched with the victories of his bloodline and regiment. Signal lamps burn behind protective grilles, vox relays and speaking tubes run through the frame, and heavy banners are often mounted directly to the armor so that the soldiers of the Phalanx can still see their commander through smoke, dust, and artillery fire.
